QwikQuote is software for roofing and contracting companies: it measures roofs from aerial imagery, prices estimates, and prints and mails them. This page says what we collect to do that, what we do with it, and what we never do with it.
What we collect from you, the user
- Account details. Your name, work email address and role at your company, and a password we store only as a hash.
- Your company's setup. Business name, contact details, logo, branding and pricing - the things printed on the estimates you send.
- The work itself. The properties you pin: their locations, addresses, roof measurements, prices and the mail pieces created for them.
- Device location, only while you use the map. The map can use your device's location to center on where you are standing. It is used for that and not stored as a trail of where you have been.
- Payment details, minimally. Card and bank numbers go directly to our payment processor and never touch our servers. We keep only the last four digits, the bank or card name, and the records of what you bought - plus the signed authorization when you set up bank payments, because the banking rules require us to keep it.
- Technical basics. Login sessions, and error reports from the app when something breaks, so we can fix it.
What we collect about homeowners
When you pin a property, QwikQuote looks up publicly available information about it: the address, and where available the owner's name and contact details, drawn from public records and licensed data providers. This exists for one purpose: addressing the estimate your company mails. Homeowners can ask your company or us to be excluded, and a household on the do-not-contact list is never mailed again through QwikQuote.
What we do with it
- Run the product: measure, price, render, print and mail.
- Bill you the way your plan says, and email you the receipts and invoices.
- Send operational email: batch notices, payment receipts, error alerts.
- Keep backups, including copies stored with a cloud storage provider, so your data survives a hardware failure.
What we never do
- Sell personal information. Not yours, not homeowners'.
- Share data with advertisers or ad networks. There are none here.
- Store full card or bank account numbers on our servers.
- Use homeowner contact information for anything other than your mail.
Who we share it with
Only the companies it takes to deliver the product, and only what each needs: our payment processor to move money, print and mail partners to produce and post the pieces you order, data providers to look up property records, our hosting and email providers to run the service. Each receives data to perform its job for us, not to use for itself. We disclose information beyond that only if the law requires it.
Google user data (the "Connect my Gmail" feature)
You can optionally connect your own Gmail account so that quote emails you send from QwikQuote go out from your address. If you do:
- What we request: permission to send email as you
(Google's
gmail.sendscope) and your email address. We never request the ability to read, modify, or delete anything in your mailbox, and Google will not grant it to us. - What we store: the authorization tokens Google issues and the address of the connected account. We never see or store your Google password.
- What we do with it: send the specific emails you compose and click send on, with your quote PDF attached. Nothing is ever sent without your explicit action, and every send is logged in your account.
- What we never do: read your inbox, harvest your contacts, send anything on a schedule or on our own initiative, or share the tokens with anyone.
- Disconnecting: one click under My account deletes the tokens immediately. You can also revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
QwikQuote's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Cookies
One cookie, for staying signed in. No tracking cookies, no analytics pixels, no third-party trackers.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account is active, plus what the law requires afterwards: financial records and signed bank authorizations have retention periods we must honor. If you close your account you can ask for an export of your company's data first, and we will delete what we are not legally required to keep.
Your choices
- See, correct or export your company's data: write to us at admin@qwik-quote.com.
- Delete your account and its data, subject to the legal retention above.
- Homeowners: to be excluded from mailings sent through QwikQuote, contact the company that mailed you or write to us directly, and we will add the address to the do-not-contact list.
Children
QwikQuote is business software and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we email the billing contact on your account before the change takes effect. The date at the top is always the date of the current version.
